The French philosopher Jacques Lacan says that we are a "reflection" of our environment which is our society. He states that you take in and make part of yourself the aspects of culture you feel positive towards. This becomes part of your identity. As for the parts of culture you naturally dislike, you reject it. So then I ask, am I my iPod?
